Scotts Valley Little League is an entirely volunteer-run organization. WE NEED YOUR HELP to ensure a great experience for our kids. Please find a role that interests you, and raise your hand. Contact anyone on the Board of Directors to find out more.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone can apply to become a volunteer. Whatever talents or skills you have, we can use them! All parents of children involved in Little League Baseball are strongly encouraged to volunteer.
When you apply to become a volunteer, you give SVLL the right to conduct necessary background checks. On rare occasions, the league may deny individuals the privilege of volunteering for reasons, past or present, that may be detrimental to the players and the league.
What can I volunteer to do?
No experience is required to become a volunteer. Most of the volunteer opportunities require little or no training. SVLL will provide you with any necessary training (as well as lots of support and encouragement). What you see during games is a mere fraction of what you can do as a volunteer. You can volunteer to help in virtually any aspect of the league. See the list of some of the volunteer roles below.
How can I become a volunteer?
Anyone planning to set foot on the baseball field or help with the team in any capacity must be cleared as a volunteer. This includes managers, coaches, team parents, scorekeepers, game coordinators, and parents who help in any way during a practice or game.
It's easy to get cleared. You can:
1.) Fill out the quick and easy volunteer application while you are registering your player.
2.) Or you can also fill out a volunteer application online anytime by hitting the "register" button on the website in the upper right corner.
Once completed, you'll be notified by JDP, the official screening partner of Little League. SVLL strongly encourages all adults affiliated with a register on this platform as a volunteer. You never know when you might need to step up and help!
Volunteer Safety Requirements
Depending on the role you are volunteering for, there are a number of training certifications required.
Please visit the Health and Safety page to view these requirements.
